CAMPAIGN PRIORITIES

CONTINUE TO ADVOCATE FOR THE VULNERABLE
As Simon Sinek points out in The Curve, the goal of police is "To protect the vulnerable from harm." It is my mission to build on the work we have started at IACP in providing education and tools for recognizing and responding to individuals with invisible disabilities, especially in times of crisis. HomeSafe was a great start - how can we continue to leverage this work to really make a difference?
RESOURCES & OPPORTUNITIES
IACP is the global leader in providing resources for us as police executives. Through the conferences, training webinars and website, we can find so many valuable resources at our time of need. I want to make sure we refine how that is presented to ensure you as leaders know what is available for you and that you can find what you need at your time of need, to help back you in key policy decisions.
STRONGER JOB PROTECTIONS FOR CHIEFS
I am committed to advocating for stronger job protections for police chiefs during these challenging times. With the average tenure of a police chief now falling below three years, it is vital to provide leaders with the security they need to lead effectively. I will work to ensure that police chiefs know they have steadfast advocacy for these protections at the highest levels of our profession.
